NEW BORN BABY FOUND DEAD BEHIND UNIVERSITY HOSTEL IN YOLA.

A newborn baby was found dead behind a hostel at Modibbo Adama University, Yola, sparking a police investigation The suspect, a 100-level student, claims she suffered a miscarriage after taking pain relief for stomachache, with medical reports supporting her account Police say she will face legal action if found culpable and urge students to maintain good moral behaviour. Yola, are investigating after a newborn baby was discovered behind Block D of the institution's Oba Hostel. The incident has drawn shock and concern among students and staff. Campus security identified a 100-level student named Favour as a suspect. She was handed over to the police for investigation. 

Police give official account of event Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nguroje, confirmed the report. He said the baby was already dead when discovered, and dogs had begun to maul the body before it was taken to hospital.
