Incident details;

     passenger comfort Emmanson was on an ibom air flight from uyo to Lagos on august 10, 2025. she refused to the crew's instruction  to switch off her phone before takeoff. the situation escalated into a physical altercation after the flight landed in Lagos, where she violently assaulted the crew members, tore off a purser's wig, and attempted to grab a fire extinguisher. 

Consequences

      Ibom air has imposed a lifetime flight ban on Emmanson, prohibiting her from flying with the airline again. the airline operators of Nigerian (AON) has also placed her on it's ''No fly'' list, banning her from traveling with any AON member airline domestically or internationally for life. Emmanson was taken into custody by FAAN security and handed over to the police for further investigation.

Airline's Response

       Ibom Air has reiterated it's zero-tolarance policy towards unruly or violent conduct that threatens the safety of passengers, crew, or equipment. the airline commended the bravery and professionalism of it's crew in handling the situation.
